Jockey B Appo stated that the mare never travelled strongly at any stage during the event could offer no explanation for the disappointing performance. A post-race Veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. Stewards will follow up with trainer J Gleeson in the days following today’s meeting in relation to the mares post-race recovery.
