Connections advised that the gelding would be ridden in a more forward position if circumstances permit. Jockey J. Lloyd stated his mount never travelled well throughout the event and failed to handle the prevailing conditions. A post race veterinary examination revealed the mare to be suffering from a significant cough. Trainer report it was found to have internal haemorrhage, and would be spelled. Will be trialled prior to next start.
