When questioned regarding the performance, jockey T Marshall stated that his instructions were to make use of his barrier and attempt to race on the speed. He added his mount failed to respond to his early aggressive riding and therefore raced in a rearward position. He added that in his opinion, his mount failed to handle the track conditions today.
