He then had to pressure the horse in the early stages to remain in contact with the rest of the field and felt then that the horse travelled well until being asked for an effort rounding the home turn, however the horse did not quicken as he would have liked, however over the final 250m the horse was doing its best work, and he was obliged to steady over the concluding stages after improving on to heels.
