Had to be checked after passing the 400m when tightened for room. Stewards interviewed jockey A. Taylor (Swiss Music), G. Colless (Al troops) and A. Spinks (Petrani). After obtaining this evidence and viewing the patrol film, stewards did not believe any rider had ridden in a careless manner and was satisfied that Swiss Music had shifted out despite the efforts of its rider causing Petrani to be tightened.
