Tightened for room and had to be checked near the 700m. Stewards inquired into this incident and established that KAHNEMAN, which was racing to the inside, commenced to overrace and shifted out. At the same time, EXCITEMENT LEVELS, which was racing to the outside, was taken in by WAR HAMMER, which shifted in when not sufficiently clear. In the circumstances, stewards felt whilst D. Griffin, rider of WAR HAMMER, could not be held entirely responsible for the incident, he nevertheless was reprimanded and reminded to allow further clearance when shifting ground in similar circumstances.
