Cahill reported that he had anticipated riding in a more forward position, however he was slow to begin and was obliged to pressure his mount throughout the event to hold a position. He felt the horse handled the rain affected conditions and finished the race off reasonably well under pressure. Jockey Cahill added he was of the view INGEEGOODBE would be better suited to a step up in distance.
