Connections advised that as the horse has not been finishing its races off well when ridden forward, from the wide barrier today it will be the intention to have the horse ridden back in the field. The horse was ridden accordingly. M. Cahill indicated that after travelling well in the early and middle stages the horse failed to respond to his riding from the 500m and proved very disappointing. Trainer M. Leitch indicated that she would now discuss with the owners the horse’s immediate racing future.

Slow to begin. M. Hellyer reported that the horse made an abnormal respiratory noise during the event before tailing off. A post-race veterinary examination confirmed the horse to be making an abnormal respiratory noise. Trainer G. Thompson was advised that the horse must undergo an endoscopic examination, the results of which are to be provided to stewards, and must trial satisfactorily prior to racing again. Mr Thompson advised that the horse will now be sent for a spell.
