Stewards interviewed jockey J. Orman regarding his riding of the filly and its performance. He stated that it had been his intention to ride the horse in a forward position and if possible lead, however his mount was unable to muster early speed and this resulted in him having to position 3 wide throughout. He added he attempted to ride forward however the filly did not quicken at any stage of the race, and was under pressure from the 600m after having laid in throughout.
