Steward Comment

Hampered by KAPGUN on jumping away and had to be steadied and lost ground. Jockey M. Cahill was asked to comment on the performance. He indicated that, in his opinion the overall performance was disappointing and that he had expected to settle at the tail of the field as the mare has a history of being slow to begin. He indicated this was the case after suffering interference on jumping. He added that he had considered improving to a position midfield in an attempt to trail ZIP TO THE MOON, however as he had been instructed by trainer Mr D. Vandyke to ensure that the horse had clear running

Steward Comment

Jockey J. Orman advised that his mount, which performed disappointingly, travelled well until the home turn, however when asked for an effort weakened badly and it was his opinion that the horse would appreciate a softer racing surface. Trainer L. Birchley advised that he would notify stewards of any abnormality that came to light in the coming days which may have had a bearing on today’s performance.
