After being fractious in the mounting yard was examined by the veterinary surgeon at the barriers and cleared to start. Slow to begin. Trainer D. Hansen reported that the horse last start was very fractious in the enclosure and proceeding to the barriers, and then refused to jump. He added he jumped the gelding out subsequent to its last start and the horse performed well and he had expectations of it performing well today.
