After viewing the video footage stewards observed that RUSTIC VIEW had an awkward action and after performing poorly a veterinary examination was ordered which found no abnormalities. Trainer J. Johnston indicated he would recommend to connections to consider retiring the mare. Stewards advised Mr Johnston that if connections continued with the horse’s racing preparation, it would be required to barrier trial satisfactorily in an official trial prior to its next race start.
