When asked to comment on the horse’s performance, J. Byrne indicated that when he attempted to restrain in the back straight on a number of occasions the horse became awkward in its action and laid out and appeared to resent being restrained. He said that the horse weakened in the home straight and was disappointing. He added that the horse also laid in under pressure in the home straight and he was obliged to stop riding and straighten on a number of occasions when tiring.
