When asked to comment on the horse’s performance, G. Colless said that it had obtained a favourable position midfield on the fence. He said that he looked to improve to one off the fence after passing the 800m and was able to do so. He added that a short distance after leaving the 600m he would have liked to improve more into the race, however was held up momentarily and was afforded clear running when rounding the home turn and found the line only fairly and in his opinion was somewhat disappointing in the run to the finish.
