When asked to comment on the performance of the horse, jockey J. Lloyd stated that, in his opinion, the horse races best when able to improve into the race outside other runners. He was of the view that drawing barrier 1 and racing amongst horses had a detrimental effect on the gelding’s overall performance.

He indicated that as the horse was returning from a brief spell it will derive fitness benefit from the event. A post race veterinary examination revealed the horse to be slightly sore in both forelegs.
