He indicated that connections had instructed him to ensure he was wider on the track when entering the home straight as they were of the view that the ground closer to the rail was inferior.

When asked to comment on the horses below market performance, he indicated he was satisfied with the position he obtained throughout the event, however when asked for an effort in the home straight, the horse was immediately under pressure and proved very disappointing. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormalities.
