Stewards asked trainer T. Miller to comment on the horse’s seemingly improved performance. He indicated that he has been quite pleased with the horse’s performance since returning from a significant spell. He added that in his opinion the horse had been working well and it has been the intention to allow the horse to lead in its races and he believes that the horse races best when able to lead without being challenged as in today’s event. He further added that today’s soft track and the step up to a mile were also factors which may have contributed to today’s performance.
