Slow to begin. Stewards asked jockey N. Evans to comment on the performance of the horse. He indicated he had anticipated settling closer to the lead, however, in his view, the horse did not muster early speed. He said he would have also liked to improve his position from the 600m, however COBRA QUICK, which was racing to the outside, laid in after passing the 600m, restricting his racing room slightly, and this in conjunction with his mount commencing to hang out, resulted in him having to steady from the heels of COBRA QUICK approaching the 500m.
