Jumped away awkwardly and lost significant ground at the start. Jockey B. Grylls reported her instructions had been to attempt to lead in today’s event, however after beginning very awkwardly she was unable to do so. She added that the horse has had a tendency in the past to race field shy and being positioned at the tail of the field did not suit the horse, which did not travel comfortably at any stage of the event. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormalities.

Inclined to overrace in the early stages. Jockey G. Colless was asked to comment on the performance of the horse which finished at the tail of the field. He indicated his mount was making an abnormal respiratory noise and then weakened badly over the concluding stages. A post race veterinary examination revealed the horse was making an upper respiratory noise and cardiac arrhythmia. Connections were advised that the horse must undergo an endoscopic examination and an ECG, with results reported to stewards prior to trialling satisfactorily.
