He indicated that the filly appreciated the step up in distance to 1400m, adding at its most recent starts riders had been instructed to lead if possible, however over shorter distances this had not been achievable, and felt being able to obtain the lead today and dictate the pace in a longer race was the explanation for the improved performance.
