Stewards questioned apprentice S. Lacy regarding the tactics adopted on her mount. Of concern to stewards was whether apprentice Lacy had opportunity to obtain clear running firstly approaching the 800m prior to CHOPPA coming back to the field after having led by a significant margin, and as to whether she had opportunity to shift SHE EXCITES wider approaching the home turn in an attempt to secure a position outside KASTANOS. Whilst weakening near the 200m had to be steadied when placed in restricted room. Trainer C. Anderson reported at scale the horse was found to have its tongue over the bit, which may have been the explanation for the poor performance.
