On pulling up the horse was short in its action. As a result, rider M. McGillivray dismounted. The horse underwent a veterinary examination near the 1800m chute and the veterinary surgeon was satisfied that whilst the horse was short in its action, he was content to allow the horse to walk back to the swab stall to receive treatment. Connections were advised that the horse will require a veterinary clearance prior to racing again.
