J. Bayliss stated that the horse travelled comfortably in the early stages of the race, however, when challenged for the lead from the 600m commenced to weaken and did not respond to his riding at any stage over the concluding stages. Jockey Bayliss could not offer any explanation for the performance, which in his opinion was quite disappointing. Trainer S. O’Dea advised that he would discuss the horse’s immediate racing future with the owners and undertook to notify stewards should anything come to light in ensuing days which may have had an effect on the horse’s performance. Vetted, no abs.

N. Day reported that at no stage of the race did the horse travel comfortably. He noted that the horse’s form is on more rain-affected surfaces than that of today. Trainer A. Williamson indicated that he would report back anything that may come to light in coming days and that the horse would have a further jump-out or official trial prior to racing again. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.
