Inclined to lay in under pressure in the home straight and was obliged to steady when awkwardly placed at heels, however failed to run on in the home straight. Jockey N. Day was asked to comment on the performance of the horse. He indicated the horse did prove somewhat difficult to ride in the straight and was disappointing in the run to the line. Trainer M. Mair reported that, in his opinion, the horse did not appreciate the short back up from its last start and he would now be sending the horse for a spell. A post race veterinary
