Was fractious in the barriers and reared prior to the start being effected, then began awkwardly. Jockey B. Pengelly stated that after being fractious in the barriers and slow to begin he was obliged to make use of the filly’s speed in the early stages of the race to lead the event. He added he was however disappointed in the filly’s overall effort as the horse had trialled well leading into the event. Trainer D. Van Dyke indicated it was now his intention to spell ALL NATIVE. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormalities.
