A post race veterinary examination of the horse, which weakened in the home straight and finished last, failed to reveal any abnormalities. Jockey B. Stewards could offer no explanation for the poor performance. Trainer D. Vandyke advised that the horse would be sent for a spell. Lost its off fore plate in running. Stewards informed Mr Vandyke that RORY’S REWARD must trial to the satisfaction of stewards prior to racing again. A swab sample was taken.
