Stewards considered an objection lodged by Jockey against second placegetter alleging interference inside the final 100 metres. On the evidence it was established that the gelding had to be checked wehn crowded between runners however when stewards could not soley atrribute the incident to the second placegetter the objection was dismissed.

Passing the 1300 metres had to be steadied when racing tight to the inside of another runner. For some distance after this raced in restricted room to the inside of that runner, and had to be checked and lost its rightful running near the 1100 metres when that runner shifted in marginally. Approaching the 600 metres had to be steadied when held up behind another runner.
