When questioned regarding racing back in the field, Jockey said that from the wide draw, and after being tardy at the start, she elected to take up a position at the tail of the field with cover, closer to the running rail, where the filly travelled comfortably throughout. She said that after being held up momentarily prior to straightening the filly finished the race off well.

When questioned regarding the poor performance Jockey said that after slipping behind on jumping, his mount never travelled comfortably at any stage and was constantly under pressure and weakened noticeably in the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormalities. Trainer undertook to report back in the days subsequent to the event.
