Joining the course proper near the 800 metres shifted out marginally and contacted another runner. Bled from both nostrils during running. Trainer was advised that, as this was the first occasion on which the gelding bled, it will be barred from racing for 3 months under A.R. 53A, and then only after performing satisfactorily in a trial over at least 1000 metres in the presence of a Steward.
