Following the event, Trainer B. Currie was at a loss to explain the disappointing performance of the filly. He advised that the filly had improved in fitness from its first up run and was working well in preparation for tonight’s event. In the light of the performance, Trainer Currie indicated that he will have his stable veterinarian examine the horse in the coming days.
