On return to scale, jockey N. Tomizawa reported that from the wide barrier he was able to obtain a position one out one back in the early stages. He added that the gelding travelled strongly throughout the event, however when pressured in the home straight failed to respond to his riding and, in his opinion, raced somewhat flat tonight. Trainer K. Kemp advised that in light of tonight’s performance the horse will now be spelled immediately.
