Raced 3 wide without cover throughout. Jockey W. O’Connell reported that the gelding commenced to hang in when placed under pressure rounding the home turn, placing him in some difficulty. He added that upon straightening, the gelding continued to hang in which resulted in him being unable to fully pressure the horse for the remainder of the race. As the horse had left the course prior to the required time, a veterinary examination was unable to be performed. Stewards will interview Trainer S. Burns in relation to this matter, and the horse’s post-race recovery, at a later date.

Jockey T. Brooker reported to Stewards that the gelding, after commencing to weaken from the 600m, had a tendency to lay in for the remainder of the race. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.
