When questioned regarding the filly’s poor performance, jockey K. Yoshida reported that his mount travelled well until placed under pressure at the home turn. He added that the filly may be better suited on a flat track. Stable representative M. Henderson reported to Stewards that, in his opinion, the filly is more suited to surfaces which are more rain affected than the track today. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.
