Became fractious in the barriers, and underwent a veterinary examination. The horse was passed fit to start. Jockey Beau Appo reported that at its most recent start the mare had a tendency to race keenly in the early and middle stages when ridden along to a forward position, and for that reason he elected to ride the mare along in the early stages and, as a consequence, settled in a mid-back position.

Commenced to hang out from the 800m and continued to hang out for the remainder. Raced wide throughout. Apprentice H. Phillips and Trainer R. Drysdale could offer no explanation for the horse’s disappointing performance, however Mr. Drysdale advised that he will experiment with the horse’s gear for its next start. Mr. Drysdale undertook to advise Stewards should anything come to light in the coming days which may explain the horse’s disappointing performance. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities. A swab sample was taken from the horse.
