Slow to begin. Raced keenly and had to be steadied from heels approaching the 900m. A post-race veterinary examination of the mare, which tailed off, revealed it to be lame in the near fore leg. Trainer Mr. J. Judge was advised that the mare will require a veterinary clearance prior to its next race start.
