Laid in in the middle stages. When questioned by Stewards in relation to the disappointing performance, jockey J. Oliver advised that the gelding travelled only fairly throughout, and when placed under pressure from the 600m commenced to lay in and proved disappointing in the home straight. Refer full report for comments from trainer M. Currie. A post-race veterinary examination of the gelding revealed no significant findings. A post-race swab sample was taken from the gelding.
