Steadied when crowded for room by OKANAGAN MISS which shifted in passing the 1100m when not fully clear. Failed to respond when placed under pressure passing the 400m. Jockey M. McGillivray reported that the filly only travelled fairly throughout and, when placed under pressure, proved slightly disappointing. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be exhibiting a poor post-race recovery.
