When asked to comment on the performance of the gelding, jockey G Cartwright reported that in her opinion the large weight the gelding was required to carry combined with the step up in distance to 1300m, were the major contributing factors to the below market expectation performance. Cast its off-fore plate in running. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.
