Slow to begin. Near the 1200m steadied from the heels of RIVIERA BLIUE which shifted in before being corrected. As a result TOBA, which was racing to the inside of REGAL EDITION, was momentarily taken in when joining up to the course proper. Raced keenly in the middle stages. Laid in under pressure in the home straight, and near the 200m was disappointed for an inside run. A post-race vet exam revealed a slow recovery and the thumps.
