Slow to begin. J Byrne, rider of DEVIL ENUFF, was reprimanded pursuant to AR132(7)(a)(ii) for use of the whip on eight occasions prior to the 100m, 3 more than permitted. When asked to comment on the apparent improved performance, trainer D Forster explained following the horse’s last start disappointing performance at Ipswich on 2nd May2022, she added tongue and blinkers today which in her opinion led to todays improved performance. Stewards noted the explanation.
