RACE 1

HOLD MY HAT DOUG (8) has been impressive since joining the stable of Mitchell Cox putting together three good runs. He looks to bring the best form into this race and is suited being the only horse on the back row which gives him options.

TRIAGE (3) has been consistent in QLD, rarely far away. He looks to moderate gate speed and from a low front row draw can put himself up on speed.

WHIRLWIND WILBUR (7) has been racing well putting in some good runs in recent times. He draws awkwardly in gate 7 due to being ODM.

MILLY AN EYRE (1) is a capable trotter when doing everything right. Draws ideally and has good gate speed which gives her options.

SELECTIONS: HOLD MY HAT DOUG (8), TRIAGE (3), WHIRLWIND WILBUR (7), MILLY AN EYRE (1)

SUGGESTED BET: HOLD MY HAT DOUG (8) to win.

RACE 2

VALENTINE QUEEN (7) took on stronger company last start and drops back to a one win restricted race which looks suitable. She was extremely well driven to get into fourth after weaving through from a long way back in what was a very slowly run race.

JOHN SNOW (5) battled on well last start after doing the work there. He looks likely to be in a similar role in this race and can be thereabouts again.

ESTIVAL (3) is a horse with gate speed and has drawn outside two horses that aren’t noted gate speed horses. This could allow her to slide over and she has options from there.

WEHAVTIME (2) returns from a spell in this race. Draws favourably but he isn’t seemingly blessed with a lot of gate speed.

SELECTIONS: VALENTINE QUEEN (7), JOHN SNOW (5), ESTIVAL (3), WEHAVTIME (2)

SUGGESTED BET: ESTIVAL (3) each way.

RACE 3

KERBANG (7) enjoys racing at the middle distance. He took on a stronger race last start won by the in form Khulan Kid where he was very wide on the way home.

IMA BEACH BABE (6) showed gate speed last start to find the front before just getting tired late. She has been going well enough to figure in a race like this.

VINCENT TIME (4) draws a gate where he could be able to force to the front. He showed good ability last time in and on return from a spell he could figure if able to secure the right run.

JACKA WALLY (3) is a brilliant beginner that is likely able to find the front in this race and has options from there. He led comfortably last start and gave ground late, would need to lift off that effort to figure in this race but his best is good enough.

SELECTIONS: KERBANG (7), IMA BEACH BABE (6); VINCENT TIME (4), JACKA WALLY (3)

SUGGESTED BET: KERBANG (7) to win.

RACE 4

MUFASA BART (9) led last start and was beaten by Sports Mode who had the perfect run on his back. He is likely to get a decent run through in the early stages of this race and can be thereabouts.

RANCHO MAN (8) follows his stablemate in this race and appears likely to settle close enough. He did the work on return last start and faded late. He trialled up well enough prior to his return for a race of this nature.

ROCKNROLL DA GAMA (6) closed strongly late last start to run into second. He is almost always running on well at the finish when the tempo suits and can look to do the same again in this race.

STUDLEIGH DARCEY (1) was very unlucky three starts ago at this track and trip when tightened causing him to make a break. He had shown enough gate speed to hold and can likely do the same in this race.

SELECTIONS: MUFASA BART (9), RANCHO MAN (8), ROCKNROLL DA GAMA (6), STUDLEIGH DARCEY (1)

SUGGESTED BET: RANCHO MAN (8) each way.

RACE 5

FILLY THIRTEEN (5) is a brilliant beginner. She is likely to look to zip across in the early stages and if she can do that she will take catching. Battled on well last start into third behind Daggy Lamb and Powermove.

SOHO CASABLANCA (6) did work last start very early in the race to get a position. He battled on well for third in a dash home. He comes into this second up and should be better for the first up outing.

FIREBOLT (9) sat leaders back last start behind Im Boo and battled on well there for second in what became a dash home. She comes into this third up and should be nearly peaking fitness wise.

TEACHERS PET (1) has gate speed and draws gate 1 where she looks suited. She has options in the early stages and should be obtain the right run she can figure.

SELECTIONS: FILLY THIRTEEN (5), SOHO CASABLANCA (6), FIREBOLT (9), TEACHERS PET (1)

SUGGESTED BET: SOHO CASABLANCA (6) to win.

RACE 6

JAY TEE TYRON (1) is a gate speed horse that draws ideally in gate 1. He should be able to do enough to lead in the early stages and from there he would prove hard to run down.

MACS A DUDE (8) broke through for win last start after zipping over in the early stages. He follows a gate speed horse and could secure a good run in this race.

ROYAL PRINCESS (9) has been in consistent form. She was extremely unlucky last start when held up for a clear run at a vital stage before just missing in a close finish.

PARTY CHANGER (10) scored a good win three starts ago before two good placings. If the tempo is on he can be finishing off strong.

SELECTIONS: JAY TEE TYRON (1), MACS A DUDE (8), ROYAL PRINCESS (9), PARTY CHANGER (10)

SUGGESTED BET: JAY TEE TYRON (1) to win.

RACE 7

BRETTS RED (2) has been in great form in recent starts scoring back to back wins recently. His last start effort was good in a strong race and should see him hard to beat again.

ALTA MAGICIAN (7) took on a strong race last start won by Calling Buddy and he sat right up on speed. He wasn’t beaten far there. He may be forced to do the work again from a wide gate but he is certainly good enough.

AMAMI (6) was forced to work hard last start in what was a fast mile rate for the middle distance. He is better suited back to the mile.

CHEER LEADER (9) scored an upset win at big odds two starts ago when coming over the top late. She drew poorly last start and just couldn’t quite get into it in what was a pegs dominated race.

SELECTIONS: BRETTS RED (2), ALTA MAGICIAN (7), AMAMI (6), CHEER LEADER (9)

SUGGESTED BET: AMAMI (6) to win.

RACE 8

THE MAHARANI (7) has been extremely impressive since joining the stable of Michael Coulter. She draws the widest gate in this race and will likely need to do work again but that is something she has done with success in recent starts. Looks hard to beat.

LULU MAE (2) scored an impressive win two starts ago doing it tough and just proving too good there. She secured a good run last start and ran into third.

MISSED CONSEQUENCES (5) led over the 2138 last start and faded late after controlling things. She looks better suited over the mile.

ROCKTIME (8) follows a gate speed horse. He ran on strongly last start on the concluding stages to get into second.

SELECTIONS: THE MAHARANI (7), LULU MAE (2), MISSED CONSEQUENCES (5), ROCKTIME (8)

SUGGESTED BET: ROCKTIME (8) each way.
