ClarkeBetting Supervisor – Stewards Race 1: HAMMER & CO EARTHMOVING 2019 QTIS Maiden PLATE - 1000M MOUNTAIN HALO – D. Edmonds was permitted to ride filly 2 kg over allotted weight as no other rider was available. ANNIE LAUGHALOT – Rider S. Sheargold was found to be overweight on weighing out and as no other rider was available stewards allowed him to ride the mare 0.5 kg overweight, he was fined $100 under the provision AR190(3). Bucked soon after the start, dislodging rider S. Sheargold, who was examined by paramedics and was cleared to fulfil the remainder of his engagements. Trainer J. Manzelmann, was advised the horse must have a successful trial prior to its next start. DANCE AROUND – Bucked soon after the start, trainer J. Hassett was advised the filly must have a successful trial prior to next start. KISS ME LATER – On returning to scale rider P. Cullen advised stewards on jumping made contact with the near side petition with his lower leg, was examined by paramedics and was cleared to fulfil the remainder of his engagements. BORROMEO – Was disadvantaged soon after the start a runner which commenced to buck.Race 2: TITLEYS FASHIONS 2019 CLASS B HANDICAP – 1000M HE’S TERRIFIED - Wide throughout. REAR VIEW MIRROR – Wide throughout. ROCKETHEAD – Jumped in the air as the start was effected. BON FIGHTER – Rider S. Sheargold was found to be overweight on weighing out and as no other rider was available stewards allowed him to ride the mare 1.0 kg overweight, he was fined $100 under the provision AR190(3). Race 3: ASHAI BEVERAGES 2019 BENCHMARK 60 HANDICAP 1200M MAKATITI – Wide throughout. DON’T TELL PETE – Wide early. MOLONGLE MAGIC – Shifted in under pressure over the concluding stages tightening another runner which had to be steadied. Rider P. Cullen was advised of his obligation to stop riding and straighten his mount and exercise more care. LET’S GO TO RIO – Eased over the concluding stages when tightened for room. Race 4: SHERIFF WHOLESALE ELECTRICAL 2019 BENCHMARK 50 HANDICAP – 1400M SATURN OPS – Slow to begin. ANNE CATHERINE – Raced wide throughout. SKIFIELD – As the start was effected, kicked out with its near side hind, beginning awkwardly and was slow into stride. A post-race veterinarian examination revealed soreness in the geldings feet. Trainer A. Cameron was advised a veterinarian clearance was required prior to the horse starting again. SHORT TERM – Raced wide rounding the home turn. Race 5: CHARTERS TOWERS AMATEUR CUP BENCHMARK 65 HANDICAP – 1800M An announcement was made prior to the start of race 5 to the effect that the correct distance was to be run over 1800m and not 1600m as was shown in the race book. FLUIDITY – Delayed the start when requiring farrier attention.MARTIAL ART – Jumped in the air as the start was effected. LUVYA BEAK – Wide early.
