Appo stated that his instructions were to lead if possible, however the filly failed to show the necessary speed to comply with these instructions and as a result when attempting to improve forward was caught racing wide. He added that the filly was not entirely comfortable on today’s tight track, however was still disappointing in its performance. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.
