For some distance passing the 700 metres was buffeted between runners, then commenced to over-race. Rounding the turn near the 500 metres hung out despite the efforts of its rider and carried another runner wider on the track, resulting in that runner then becoming awkwardly placed on the heels of the mare and having to be continually steadied. A post-race veterinary examination of the mare revealed the mare to have been galloped on. Trainer will be interviewed. Trainer advised the mare will now be sent for a freshen up.
