When asked to comment on the gelding’s performance, J. Byrne indicated that the horse pulled very hard in the early and middle stages and in his opinion this had a detrimental effect on the horse’s finishing performance. He was also of the opinion that once he asked the horse for a response it did not handle the prevailing track conditions.
