Stewards questioned jockey R. Fradd regarding the tactics adopted on the gelding, particularly the reason for him not taking a trail in the early stages behind QABLA. Jockey Fradd explained that LASCAR is one-paced and he was instructed to ride the horse in a handy position and for this reason he thought it would be detrimental to the horses chances to settle at the rear of the field.
