Inclined to lay in under pressure in the early stages of the home straight. When asked to explain the performance, jockey D. Browne stated that the mare travelled well, however failed to finish the race off as expected, which he attributed to the 59.5 kilogram impost on a firm surface. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormalities.
