Slow to begin. Commenced to overrace after passing the 1100m and near the 900m had to be steadied away from the heels of QUOTANT. After being asked to quicken by its rider rounding the home turn, failed to respond and proved disappointing over the concluding stages. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be exhibiting a poor post-race recovery.
