Slow to begin. Rider B El Issa was questioned regarding his riding of the horse particularly in the home straight where it appeared at various stages he lacked some vigor on OCTAVIAN. B El Issa explained each time the horse was tested with the whip it was inclined to shift in and near the 100 metres moved inwards toward NEPTUNE’S CHOICE. He added from that point he tested OCTAVIAN with his hands and used the whip on one more occasion at which point it shifted in further towards NOTONYA NELLY and as a result rode hands and heels from that point. Stewards noted the explanation of B El Issa.
