Shifted out to improve approaching the home turn and made contact with another runner on a number of occasions. Following the race the horse slipped in the horse stall area. The veterinary surgeon examined the horse and found the mare to have a slow recovery and to be suffering a case of thumps, as a result of which treatment was administered.
